Hard Days

We have had quite a time here at West Oak High School. Last week, we lost three of our own in a tragic car accident. Not a single individual either teacher or students has been left un-affected by this awful ordeal and we have, in the Art Classes, had multiple discussions about the ways in which we have been hurt by this.
I want my students to know that I am always here for you, as are our guidance counselors, to lead you through any ordeal that you may face in the best way I know how. We as teachers may not always have the right words, but we will do our best to lead you in the right direction and to comfort you in your times of need.
I hope that you all go home this holiday and look at the loved ones around you and make sure that your are grateful for the joys in your life, no matter how small they may seem. There is always some hope at the end of a road and if you can continue to believe that, we will wake up stronger individuals tomorrow.
